It was a particularly wet spring in 1992 when Tim Jones started building his fishing cabin on River Road in Tupper Lake.

But Jones, 34 at the time, was eager to get the little cabin built. He had a building permit from the town, which he nailed to a tree.

For Corn Syrup, the Sweet Talk Gets Harder

For much of 2009, Michael Locascio, an executive at ConAgra Foods, watched with concern as the bad news about high-fructose corn syrup kept coming.

In January, there were studies showing that samples of the sweetener contained the toxic metal mercury. Then came a popular Facebook page that was critical of the syrup. By year-end, there were about a dozen spoofs on YouTube mocking efforts by makers of high-fructose corn syrup to show that science is on their side.

Hudson Valley Agri Food Park is developing 98 acres of land for greenhouse farming, aquaculture, and food processing facilities as a sustainable value added cluster tenant farming Agricultural Food Park.

The land is located in the lower Hudson Valley area of New York State approximately 80 miles north of New York City.

Update 1-DuPont says EPA Approves Optimum AcreMax I Seeds

NEW YORK, May 3 (Reuters) - DuPont (DD.N) said on Monday the Environmental Protection Agency has approved its Optimum AcreMax I, a product the company says will save farmers time and make it easier for them to use hybrid seeds.

The decision, which was not unexpected, lets the company, also known as E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co, better compete with rival Monsanto Co (MON.N).
